Netroni X-Pix · Low-voltage DC for smart homes and MDUs
Modular low-voltage lighting, power and controls. Faster to install, more affordable to build and open to every smart-home system.
Third-generation DC from the founders of Visiolite
Scroll01 — What is Netroni X-Pix
Netroni X-Pix is a modular, low-voltage DC system for homes and multi-dwelling units (MDUs). Compact DIN-rail modules replace line-voltage circuits, wall dimmers and LED drivers. Power and control travel together over standard CAT6A cable to every fixture, shade and USB-C outlet.
A 48 V DC supply (24–57 V), Fault Managed Power (FMP), or solar and battery
XP-Master links the LAN, Matter and pro control systems
One CAT6 daisy chain carries DMX/RDM, RS-485 and aux power. DALI-2 ready
XP modules feed lights, shades and outlets over CAT6A
Full 16-bit dimming to 0.01%, tunable white and color, in a system priced for everyday homes.
Direct wall switches, Apple Home and Google Home over Matter, or pro systems such as Lutron, Crestron, Control4, Savant and Loxone.
Add modules along a floor; add Masters for each floor or unit. From a studio to a high-rise MDU.
A complete apartment fits in one small DIN-rail housing, even in a studio closet.
Decentralized by design. If the Master or the internet goes down, the wall switch will still work.
DMX512/RDM and DALI-2 ready, so any standard controller can run the system. Your installation is never stranded.
02 — Why Netroni X-Pix
Netroni X-Pix is the third-generation DC system from the founders of Visiolite. Every part has been re-engineered for residential scale and cost: more efficient, less material, longer life and safer than the DC systems before it.

03 — Why now
Labor, energy and materials are all getting more expensive, and the largest power users on the planet are switching to DC. The economics now favor low-voltage DC over line-voltage AC.
Netroni is installed mostly by low-voltage (BICSI) crews. The electrician's work shrinks to the power-supply feed.
AI is driving electricity demand up, and efficiency matters more every year. DC removes conversion losses at every fixture.
Using around 40% less copper and raw material protects budgets now, and the savings will grow.
Data centers are bringing the scale DC has been waiting for. DC in every building is becoming the natural choice.
In California, DC saves on lighting and connects natively to the solar and battery readiness that Title 24 requires.

Commercial PoE DC lighting. Born in 2019 and acquired by LUUM in 2022. LIT and RealComm awards.
Rebuilt for homes: about 7× lower cost per port, 100× finer dimming and a 2-second boot.
04 — Advanced lighting
Netroni X-Pix's 16-bit dimming brings out the best in Visiolite's specialty LEDs, from circadian whites to color beyond RGB to fully animated pixels.

Try it · 16-bit dimming
A typical 8-bit dimmer has 256 steps, so the last few percent jump from one level to the next and the light snaps off. Netroni drives every channel with 65,536 steps, which keeps a fade smooth right down to a glow.
Drag toward zero and watch the 8-bit light step and cut out.
05 — XP-Series · Control
VLX-VLM-DUP-DRE
The brain of every Netroni X-Pix installation. XP-Master connects the network to a Visio-Link chain of XP modules and bridges it to the control systems your clients already use.
Specifications
Works with
06 — XP-Series · Dimming
16-channel centralized dimmers that drive DC lights directly over CAT6A, with no LED drivers in the ceiling. Two versions share the same platform: constant voltage and constant current.

Gunmetal grey
Constant-voltage PWM dimming for LED strips, tape and 24–48 V fixtures. The first Netroni X-Pix product in production.

Netroni cyan
Constant-current dimming for driverless DC downlights and fixtures. The LED driver moves out of the ceiling and into the panel.
07 — XP-Series · Power & network
The infrastructure pieces: XP-Inject delivers DC power to fixed loads and outlets, and XP-Link is a versatile protocol proxy for hotels, MDUs and advanced projects.

Black
Power injection for lights, USB-C outlets and peripherals that only need on and off. The most affordable way into DC, switched from standard wall switches through X-Pack adapters.

Netroni indigo
An Ethernet-to-Visio-Link gateway and multi-protocol control proxy. One Ethernet uplink, controlled over Art-Net or the Netroni API, fans out to eight Visio-Link segments. Ideal for hotel rooms and MDUs.
08 — XP-Series · Specialty
Netroni X-Pix goes beyond lighting. XP-Pix drives addressable pixel art and features, and XP-Shade powers and controls motorized shades on the same infrastructure.

Netroni orange
An addressable pixel controller with Smart SPI™ (patent pending). Plug in a strip and XP-Pix works out the rest.

White
A PoE switch made for motorized shades. Shades share the panel, the cable and the scenes with the lights, so one wall button can set the whole room.
Preliminary specifications, subject to change.
09 — Netroni app
The optional Netroni app for Android and iPhone sets up a system in minutes and gives residents simple everyday control. It is fully compatible with the new Apple Home wall display.

App screens from a pre-release version.
10 — Example topologies
The same building blocks scale from one room to a whole building. Line colors match the Netroni cable used for each run.
No network needed. Set up over USB-C from the Netroni app.
One Master per unit, bridged to the residents' smart home.
One Master per floor or unit on the building LAN.
For MDUs and hotels, one XP-Link can also fan a single Art-Net uplink out to eight Visio-Link segments.
11 — Netroni cables
Every Netroni run uses the same CAT6A cable. The jacket color tells installers, inspectors and future service techs what each run does. We recommend Netroni cable for safety, quality and efficiency.
IT and network: Wi-Fi, security, data ports and USB-C
All dimmable low-voltage lights: LVDC, X-PoE® and more
Control bus: Visio-Link, DMX, RS-485, DALI and aux power
Fixed power for addressable SPI lights, art features, outlets and more
Direct burial for outdoor IT and landscape lighting

14 — Food for thought
In the "War of the Currents" of the late 1880s, Tesla's alternating current beat Edison's direct current, and for good reason. AC could be stepped up by a transformer and sent long distances, and the loads of the day (motors, heaters and incandescent bulbs) ran happily on it.
Today almost everything we plug in is electronic. LEDs, computers, chargers, TVs and inverter heat pumps all run on DC inside, so every device converts AC back to DC. And we now make electricity at home, with solar panels and batteries that are DC by nature.
Then: AC wins
Now: DC is the hero
AC still runs the grid.
DC belongs inside the building.
Edison wasn't right back then. But with electronics everywhere and power made on the roof, the game has changed, and Netroni X-Pix is built for it.
